According to the Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, a proposed mixed-use project called Fairfield Cypress Creek promises long needed apartments for Fort Lauderdale’s uptown office market. They would be constructed on North Andrews Avenue, across from the Cypress Creek Station retail center. The one weakness of the Cypress Creek office market has been the lack of suitable residential units for the area’s workforce. The site is contiguous to Zimmerman Advertising and Alpine Jaguar car dealership at 6500 and 6520 N. Andrews Avenue which currently contains low-rise office buildings. Fairfield Residential of San Diego is purchasing the larger of the two commercial office buildings and will demo to accommodate the new residential development.

It would contain an eight-story parking garage with 602 spaces plus 14 surface parking spaces. The south portion of the project would contain two office buildings — one existing and another proposed with 93 surface parking spaces.
